WiFi CSI Crowd Counting
Wi-Fi Channel State Information (CSI)-based sensing is the dominant method, applied to problems of indoor occupancy detection, crowd counting, activity recognition, and gesture recognition. Research addresses key challenges including cross-domain generalizability, environment dependence, and deployment efficiency, often employing machine learning techniques such as few-shot learning and reinforcement learning. A growing emphasis on reproducibility, standardized datasets, and the emerging IEEE 802.11bf sensing standard reflects the community's push toward practical, widespread deployment.
