LPWAN IoT Protocol Stack

Connecting resource-constrained IoT devices over Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs) to the broader Internet drives this community's work, with a focus on enabling IPv6 communication despite severe bandwidth and energy limitations. Key methods include the SCHC framework for static context header compression and fragmentation, the RPL routing protocol for low-power lossy networks, and secure bootstrapping techniques. The research addresses protocol stack optimization and interoperability across heterogeneous LPWAN technologies such as LoRaWAN, Sigfox, and NB-IoT.
