Integrated Sensing Communications Waveform Design
Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems that jointly perform radar-style sensing and data transmission over shared waveforms and spectrum represent the core focus of this community. Waveform design, fundamental performance tradeoffs (analyzed via metrics such as KL-divergence and mutual information under Gaussian channels), and the Doppler effect's dual role in sensing and communications are recurring methodological themes. The work spans theoretical foundations, enabling techniques, and standardization efforts targeting 6G networks.
